![]() ![]() There is an “awww” moment early on when Bill wakes from a nightmare about his Dad and turns on a horror flick because, for him, the slasher movie is far less scary than the horrific memory of seeing his father killed. He turns to the horror genre to escape the real life horror of his father’s murder. The book centers on Bill Wise-an Illinois teen who is obsessed with scary movies and books. I have seen a few of the referenced movies though (enough to terrify me), but even with my limited horror knowledge, I really liked this book. ![]() I am a great big, giant wimp with an overactive imagination so I try to avoid anything that is super scary. I will preface this by saying, I am not a horror fan. Why am I hiding under my bed, you ask? Because I just read Rabbit in Red, which is the first book in a horror/mystery series by Joe Chianakas.
